Welcome to the front office of our elementary school, where you'll always find a warm welcome from Janice Barr and Lisa Pfeffer, the friendly voices behind the phone. They're the heart of our administrative team, ready to assist you with any questions or concerns you may have. Whether you're a student, parent, or visitor, Mrs. Barr and Mrs. Pfeffer are here to ensure your experience at our school is smooth and enjoyable. Wed: 8:40 AM - 2:25 PM
*We have an early release every Wednesday. School is dismissed one hour early for staff to engage in various professional development opportunities that will benefit our students.
Report An Absence
If your child will not be in school, please report the absence to the health office by phone or email before 8:00 AM. If your student is not feeling well, they need to visit the nurse first before they will be excused when not feeling well.

Early Student Arrival & Dismissal
Students arriving late must go directly to the office with a parent/guardian and sign in. If you will be picking up your student before the end of school, please call the front office to confirm who is picking up the student and what time. All students leaving early must be signed out by a parent/guardian.
Riding the Bus
You can find your child's bus schedule for the school year by logging into Skyward and selecting Transportation. If you have any issues finding your student's transportation information, please reach out to transportation@dps109.org.

Safety & Security
All of the exterior school doors are locked at all times during the school day, and all visitors are required to enter through the front office, sign in, and present their photo ID. Students arriving late must go directly to the office with a parent/guardian and sign in. All students leaving early must be signed out by a parent/guardian.
Safety drills will be held throughout the school year. These include fire, tornado, earthquake, and lockdown (secure in place) drills.
For safety purposes, we request that parents and guests do not bring dogs on to school property. To learn more about safety and security in 109, please visit our page.
